Privacy Policy

ClickMelon LLC ("we", "us") operates this website. This policy explains what we collect when you use it, what we do with it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. Please read it before you submit the form.
The short version
- This site exists to connect you with schools. When you submit the form and choose schools, we sell your contact information to those schools through our partner Campus Explorer (Archer Education). That is how we are paid.
- We do not sell anything until you pick the schools you want to hear from and click "Request Info".
- We keep your full submission for 90 days. If you ask a school to contact you, we keep a record of that request (your answers and the consent you gave) for 5 years.
- You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to delete it, or tell us not to sell it. See Your Privacy Choices.
What we collect
Information you give us in the form: ZIP code, learning preference, degree type you want, when you plan to start, how likely you are to enroll, highest education level, high school graduation year, military affiliation, citizenship or residency status, whether you are a registered nurse (nursing programs only), and your first and last name, email address, phone number, and street address. If you are currently in high school we also ask your GPA, date of birth, and gender, because the schools require them.
Information collected automatically: your IP address, browser and device type, the page you landed on, the ad or link that brought you here (including advertising identifiers such as Facebook's click ID), and a recording of how you interacted with the form, made by the certification services described below.
Cookies and pixels: we use advertising pixels from Meta and Google to measure whether our ads work, and session storage in your browser to remember which ad brought you here. We do not use cookies to track you across other websites.
How we use it
- To search our partner's network for schools that match your answers and show them to you.
- To send your information to the schools you select, so they can contact you about their programs.
- To show you sponsored listings for other programs when no school matches or after you have made a request. Clicking one takes you to the advertiser's site through a link that records the click.
- To prove, if a school or a regulator asks, that you filled out this form and agreed to be contacted.
- To measure and improve our advertising, using counts that do not include your name or contact details.
Who we share it with, and what "sale" means
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act and similar state laws, disclosing personal information to another business in exchange for money is a "sale". We sell the information you submit to Campus Explorer (Archer Education), which delivers it to the schools you selected. Each school then contacts you under its own privacy policy. The consent text shown next to each school on the results screen describes what you are agreeing to for that school.
We also share information with service providers who act on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes:
- Netlify: hosting, serverless functions, and encrypted storage of form submissions.
- ActiveProspect (TrustedForm): independent certification of the form you completed and the consent you gave.
- Jornaya (LeadiD): independent record that you completed our form.
- Zapier or n8n and Google Sheets: reporting on form counts and ad performance, without your name or contact details.
- Meta and Google: advertising measurement (pixels).
We do not sell information to data brokers, and we do not sell information about children under 16. We may disclose information if required by law or to defend a legal claim.
Calls and texts
When you select a school and click "Request Info", you agree to be contacted by that school at the phone number and email you provided, using the methods described in the consent text shown for that school, which may include automated calls and text messages. Consent is not a condition of purchase or enrollment. You can withdraw consent with any school by telling that school directly. Message and data rates may apply.
How long we keep it
- Your full form submission is deleted 90 days after you submit it.
- A record of each request you sent to a school (the answers you submitted, your phone number, email, IP address, the consent text you saw, the schools you chose, and the certification references) is kept for 5 years, because that is how long a consumer can bring a claim about unwanted calls and we may need to show you agreed to them.
- Reporting counts (which page, which ad, which school, when) are kept indefinitely but do not include your name or contact details.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to have it deleted, to correct it, to opt out of its sale or sharing, and not to be treated differently for exercising these rights. We extend these choices to everyone, in every state.
- Opt out of sale: use Your Privacy Choices. We also honor the Global Privacy Control signal from your browser: if it is on, we will not send your information to any school unless you expressly tell us to on this site.
- Access or delete: submit a request on the same page, or email privacy@clickmelon.com. We will verify the request by matching the email or phone number you submitted and respond within 45 days.
- Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf with proof of authorization.
Note that if a school already received your information before you opted out or asked for deletion, you will need to contact that school as well. We will tell you which schools received it.
Children
This site is not for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect or sell information about anyone under 16, and our form refuses submissions that indicate an age below that.
Security
Submissions are transmitted over HTTPS and stored encrypted. Access to stored submissions is limited to what is needed to operate the service and respond to your requests. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information we will notify you as the law requires.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the effective date above. Material changes will be noted on this page.
